Alright, you err.. Keith, is a so called manual tester with a few years experience. Keith tests GUI and functionality, navigation etc. (basically client side testing). Keith is not tech savvy, but is curious about server side testing. He needs to try Rocky Linux!

Keith has also heard that Linux dominates the server industry.
Keith also wants to add server side testing to his skill set/stack.
So what is stopping Keith?
A lot of doubts…
- Install a server? How do I do that?
- I have no clue about Linux
- I really do not have the time, to install, configure, and use the system
- I have watched a few videos, I get it, but never tried
- I have seen many free websites, offering to help but.. the moment I open the terminal or an editor, I am clueless. I do not know what to do.
In my discussions with various testers, most of them are simply put off by the cryptic scripts too.
Nonetheless, it need not be that way!

Is a Linux server that can be downloaded to your Windows 11 machine from here
Folks who have Windows, need not worry as they can install a wsl2
Rocky Linux on a Virtualbox:
Virtualbox is a virtual machine which can be downloaded on your windows 11 from here.

A mac user? Well, a mac runs on a BSD Unix, so just relax. You just need to worry about the server. A virtualbox can help you here though.
The same applies to a Linux Desktop user.
